Assisted mode: keep what you have
The original HEMS keeps controlling its devices, monitored read-only. The power of your other inverters is added as reinforcement, based on what the HEMS is already doing.
Manufacturer HEMS
Your battery's app does the basics, but it locks you in: one brand, few settings, a limited number of devices. TED takes over, or comes in as reinforcement.
A manufacturer HEMS is designed to sell and run one product range, with deliberately simple settings. Depending on brand and model, it limits the number of devices in a group, ignores other brands and only exposes a few parameters.
Those choices make sense for a first device. They become a hurdle as soon as the installation grows: a second battery, another brand, an off-peak tariff, the wish to automate a water heater.
The solution
The original HEMS keeps controlling its devices, monitored read-only. The power of your other inverters is added as reinforcement, based on what the HEMS is already doing.
Grid power is kept within the band you choose, with profiles (winter, default, summer), by charging and discharging all your batteries.
Target band, maximum power, battery thresholds per device, priorities: everything is set in the interface and applied immediately.
The software runs at home and talks to Home Assistant on your network: your measurements never leave your home.
No hardware protection or installation rule is bypassed: only setpoints your devices already accept through Home Assistant are sent, within the limits you set. Respect the capacity of your electrical installation and your country's regulations.
Assisted to keep the original HEMS, autonomous for full control.
Those of the original HEMS as monitored (assisted mode), the others as controlled.
The grid power you aim for (for example around 0 W) and your power limits.
The dashboard and HEMS page show every regulation decision in real time.
The live demo shows the real interface on a working installation: energy flows, inverters, batteries, settings.
Nothing is installed on your devices: through Home Assistant they receive the same kinds of setpoints their integration already allows. Still, check your manufacturer's warranty terms.
Yes. Stop the software or switch your inverters to monitored: your original HEMS takes control of its devices again.
Yes: what the original HEMS does is followed continuously, and your other inverters top it up immediately.
Each manufacturer app ignores other brands. Here, they all work together under one setpoint.
