Getting started

The setup wizard guides you

When first opened, a wizard asks you a few questions. Here they are, so you can prepare your answers. Every step can be skipped and changed later in the settings. The interface is in French for now: menu names are given as they appear, with their meaning.

  1. 1

    Open the interface

Home Assistant OS: TED entry in the sidebar. Synology or Docker: http://MACHINE-ADDRESS:5002 (or the port you chose).

  2. 2

    Your free license

First name and email: the license is obtained and activated automatically. Without a license, regulation stays on standby and controls nothing.

  3. 3

    The Home Assistant connection

Home Assistant OS: automatic, nothing to enter. Synology or Docker: two pieces of information.

    • The Home Assistant address, the one in your browser: for example http://192.168.1.50:8123.
    • An access token: in Home Assistant, click your name at the bottom left › Security tab › at the bottom, Long-lived access tokens › Create token, name it “TED” and copy it.

Click Tester la connexion (test connection): a message confirms that Home Assistant answers.

  4. 4

    Your meter

Pick the meter's power entity from the suggested list (or a Shelly by its IP address), then Tester la lecture (test reading). Tip: switch on a kettle, the value must go up.

  5. 5

    Plan, modes and limits

Supplier and contract, Autonome or Assisté mode (when in doubt, keep both), contract power and battery levels.

  6. 6

    Declare your inverters

Onduleurs (inverters) tab › add: pick the device entities (for Zendure, Autoremplissage finds them). Type piloté (controlled: it receives setpoints) or surveillé (monitored: read only). Regulation then starts.

Getting it right

Habits that avoid surprises

Advanced settings can wait

The default values are fine for your first tests: adjust later, one setting at a time.

Start with one inverter

Check that it follows the setpoints, then add the others.

You stay in control

You are responsible for your electrical installation: keep cautious maximum powers.
