Special cases
Manual installation, without the repository
For a machine without access to GitHub. Updates are then not announced: each version must be dropped in again.
- On the download page, choose Home Assistant OS: you get the
ted-bot-v3.7-home-assistant.zippackage (17 Ko) and a personal command. - Paste that command in the Terminal & SSH app, or copy the package's
tedfolder into thelocal_appsshare (Samba share app): you must end up withlocal_apps/ted/config.yaml. - Store › ⋮ › Check for updates, reload the page, then Local apps (Applications locales) › TED Energy Controller › Install. Continue at step 3.
D=/addons; [ -d /local_apps ] && D=/local_apps; cd "$D" && curl -fL -o ted.zip "https://ted-energy.fr/download/home-assistant/current?token=YOUR-PERSONAL-LINK" && rm -rf ted && unzip -q ted.zip && rm ted.zip && ls ted
Already using the Docker version? Get your settings back
- Stop the old installation (two installations must never control the same inverters).
- Install the app above, start it once, then stop it.
- Copy the content of the old
runtimefolder into…_ted/runtimeof theapp_configsshare, replacing the files. - Restart the app: you get your configuration and license back. The old Home Assistant address and token are ignored.
The app does not show in the store
Store › ⋮ › Check for updates, then fully reload the page. Check in ⋮ › Repositories that https://github.com/LaurentFoulon/ted-home-assistant is listed. Errors are in Settings › System › Logs, “Supervisor” log.
The installation fails
Home Assistant must reach the Internet (Docker Hub) and have at least 1 GB free. Details are in the “Supervisor” log; then click Install again.
Getting the license fails
The app must be able to reach ted-energy.fr. Otherwise, download the license from the download page and import it: Paramètres › Sauvegarde, restauration et licence › Importer une licence….
Port 5001 is already in use
App Configuration tab › Network: choose another free port (between 5000 and 5009 for the mobile app), then restart the app. The sidebar does not use this port.
